The Housing Authority of the City of Dallas, Texas (DHA) provides quality, affordable housing to low-income families and individuals through the effective and efficient administration of housing assistance programs; and by creating and cultivating opportunities for program participants to achieve self-sufficiency and economic independence.

Friday: 8:00 A.M.- Noon
Second Thursday of each month: 8:00 A.M. - 4:45 p.m.

Clients are seen by appointment ONLY, during these hours of operation. Clients will not be assisted, and no receipt will be given, after these hours.
RFTA (Leasing) packets and HAP contracts may be dropped off Monday-Thursday from 8:00AM to 4:30PM & Friday from 8:00AM to 11:00AM.

The Dallas Housing Authority established the Housing Choice Voucher Wait List on June 22, 2011 with 5,000 applications. We process applicants based on their rank on the Wait List. We are currently on number 2706. We cannot estimate when we will get to the next number. This information is updated regularly, on this website. Please do not call the office for this information.

Your request should reasonably identify the records you are requesting. In your request, please include a name, mailing address, phone number, or other means by which to contact you regarding your request.
