In accordance with the published advertisement, this serves as a 24-hour notice that the Dallas Housing Authority shall close the open waiting list for the following property types effective January 31st, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. except for applications from vulnerable homeless persons and families:
Mixed Population Building Public Housing Sites
Section 8 Project Based Sites for Elderly/Disabled Families (ONLY)
3 & 4 Bedrooms Multifamily Public Housing Sites

Friday: 8:00 A.M.- Noon
Second Thursday of each month: 8:00 A.M. - 4:45 p.m.

Clients are seen by appointment ONLY, during these hours of operation. Clients will not be assisted, and no receipt will be given, after these hours.
RFTA (Leasing) packets and HAP contracts may be dropped off Monday-Thursday from 8:00AM to 4:30PM & Friday from 8:00AM to 11:00AM.

The Dallas Housing Authority established the Housing Choice Voucher Wait List on June 22, 2011 with 5,000 applications. We process applicants based on their rank on the Wait List. We are currently on number 2636. We cannot estimate when we will get to the next number. This information is updated regularly, on this website. Please do not call the office for this information.

Your request should reasonably identify the records you are requesting. In your request, please include a name, mailing address, phone number, or other means by which to contact you regarding your request.
